Te Pae Christchurch is the city's gathering place - an architectural and social landmark designed as a welcoming heart in the centre of the city. Ōtautahi Christchurch is New Zealand's second largest city and an ideal location for our Expo. The city has undergone large-scale change in the last decade, creating New Zealand's newest city, filled with modern infrastructure, stunning landscapes and fascinating culture.

The name "Te Pae" is derived from Māori, signifying a "gathering place," which reflects its intended function as a central hub for social, cultural, and economic connection.

Arriving by Metro Bus Service

Christchurch is one of those fortunate cities with its airport located only a short distance from the city centre. Better still, it’s super easy to get from the airport to the city by bus.

Taking a bus to and from the airport is one of the most cost-effective transport options. There are four options to choose from, three of which service the city centre. Arriving from the airport

Te Pae Christchurch is located in the centre of the city, just a short 15–20 minute drive from Christchurch International Airport.
